Aside from Nolan Salvatori, Cameron was the go-to welcome community member for the werewolf community, in way of young wolves that were new in town. And according to his sister, who heard it from their mom, who heard it from Brenda Anderson, who'd heard it from her son, there was a couple of new wolves in Xander's Cross that were under the legal limit. Naturally, Cam was instantly curious because he'd been in similar shoes as them.
Having traveled around in the foster care system in his early years, he knew what it was like to be a werewolf in a world he didn't fully understand. Passed on from one mythical foster parent to the next until he'd landed in the care of the Boehms where he was set to stay. He knew his circumstances were different than the four that Louis Anderson had inherited, but Cameron instantly felt a kinship whether they realized it or not. How could he not? It was in their wolfish nature.
And it was because of that nature, that when the gal pals demanded a trip to the beach to initiate Eleni into the Xander's Cross highschool alumni, by way of dunking her in the pacific ocean, he had to at least invite the new girl. Well, the other new girl. His mind wandered to Catriona for a moment and wondered if someone would take her. He vaguely remembered her mentioning Nolan and Cassie, and if that were the case she was in good hands. Cam would have his hands full with his fellow wolf.
Pulling his mom's honda over to the curb, he glanced up at Mr. Anderson's blue ranch-style home. As far as Cam knew, the "quiet" Anderson as he'd been nicknamed had been teaching at the high school for a few short years since graduating. Cam hadn't had him yet, but he expected he'd be in his class at some point. Most upperclassmen had Louis Anderson for Social Studies at one point or another. The fact it was such a small town and that Cameron knew he was also a werewolf made the two of them at least know each other because of their parents, and Cam's older siblings.
He climbed out of the car, dressed in a pair of simple shorts, a t-shirt, and sneakers, he jogged up to the door and knocked. Running a hand through his curling hair. He shoved his hands in his pockets and then waited, glancing around at the nearby shrubs. He could hear a tv. somewhere in the house, that was partially muffled, and then could hear quick footsteps rushing to the door, and soft murmuring before the door was suddenly opened. Cam's brown gaze lifted up, where he smiled at Louis. The older man was currently juggling a toddler on his hip and he could hear what sounded like Baby T.V from the living room. There was a look of brief surprise on Louis' face, before understanding instantly crossed his face. "Rikki?" He asked with a grin. "And the moms. Who's this little guy?" Cam grinned, nodding at the baby. Louis nodded his head and then stepped aside. "This would be Chidi. We were in the middle of making some snacks when you got here. Wanna come in? I got an inkling why you're here Cam, but uh-" Cam stepped up over the threshold of the door, and leaned in as Louis leaned close and whispered barely under his breath. Making it nearly impossible for anyone but Cam and the baby (even with super hearing) to hear him. "You're going to need a lot of patience and don't take it personally." He murmured.
Cam blinked but nodded. He then started to follow Louis to the kitchen. "So, what are your plans?" Louis asked curiously. Cam ran a hand through his hair as he walked to the kitchen, seeing Louis place the baby in a highchair and then quickly hand him some sliced-up banana slices before he went to the sink and washed his hands. "Val, Yura and I were gonna go to the beach tomorrow to do the dunk to Eleni." He explained. Louis grinned, letting a small huff of laughter out as he dried his hands. "Aaaah the dunk...I take it you wanna take Malaika?" He asked, and Cam nodded bringing a shoulder up in a shrug. "If she wants. Thought she might wanna meet some people before school starts up." Louis nodded and came over, clapping Cam on the shoulder. "You'll have to ask her yourself." He told him, and pushed his glasses up further on his nose before he stuck his head out of the kitchen doorway. "Hey Mal!" He called. "Can you come here, please? There's someone here to see you!" He called. Cam stood up a bit taller, and a soft smile fell on his face while he waited.

For once, Louis needn't have worried about his foster-daughter's enhanced hearing--she had music blasting into her ears loud enough that she wouldn't hear the normal volume conversations from her room. She was laying on the floor, watching the ceiling fan spin lazy circles above her. She felt like she should be doing something else, but she just couldn't. She didn't want to be around the twins, they were driving her crazy, and even Chidi just seemed like too much right now. She just needed to not think. Hence the music.
A new song was starting, and she rapped along to the lyrics. She was getting faster at this one. It helped that a lot of it sounded familiar.
"Life sucks and I never tried suicide Mind's fucked even more than I realize Time's up, keep a league in when she arrives If you ever heard what I heard in my mind Never try, you would cry, that's a lie, you would die"
It wasn't until Louis actually yelled for her that she finally heard him. She sat bolt upright and yanked off her headphones, then scrambled toward the door. She was already in the hall before she realized what he'd said. Someone here? For her? Was he on drugs? There wasn't anybody who would come around to see her here. Well, maybe Lou's sister? She seemed pretty cool.
She caught the new scent from the hall--another wolf. She didn't recognize it, either, which meant it wasn't Paige.
She entered the kitchen warily, obviously on edge as she took in the newcomer. He was tall, about her age, with curly hair that was almost artfully messy. He looked like a freaking movie star, he was so pretty. He and Lou were quite a pair, acting all mild-mannered like they had no idea. Sheesh, what was it with the wolves around here? Was everyone this good-looking? She thanked her lucky stars again that she was only into girls.
Still, the fact he reminded her of Lou was a good start at least. She wasn't ready to trust Lou completely, just yet, but she could tell he was a decent person.
"Hey," she greeted the new guy with a half-hearted raise of her hand as a wave. She didn't return his smile, but she didn't glare at him, either. She thought that was friendly enough.
