Louis stayed in the living room with Lonnie, letting the kids scout out where they would be staying. He had plans to take them all to the store in a bit so they could help him restock the pantry with what they liked to snack on and the like. Someone told him his grocery bill was about to skyrocket, but thankfully he had a mother that had turned into the queen of couponing with her own pups to feed. She’d bestowed upon her youngest son the same knowledge.
As the kids checked out their rooms he slowly drifted back towards the front door, deciding to bring in the rest of their things. Lonnie followed after him to help. “I really do appreciate this Lou, and it won’t be long I promise, it was just-” She sighed as they walked down the path and Louis glanced at her. A small smile appeared on his face. “Hey I get it, seriously.” He told her. “I’m here for emergencies, it’s my thing.” He reminded her, bumping his shoulder lightly against hers and she blushed a bit before smiling.
Once at the back of the car, Louis gathered the rest of the bag, carrying them effortlessly, though he did let Lonnie take one as she closed the trunk and followed him back in. He could only assume the bag he had was Mal’s considering the teen memorabilia on it, and started to wander down the left hallway. His hearing told him the kids were still near the twins and baby’s room, so he opened the door up and placed Mal’s back at the end of the full bed before he wandered back out, and then started to drift down the hallway. Poking his head into the twins room. “Well, what’s the consensus? Will they do?” He asked with a small smile before his eyes drifted over to Mal. He was learning real quick she was the one he was going to have to win over.
