continued from archiveNoemie laughed so hard she almost snorted as he flung another pun right back at her. Oh yeah, she liked this one. She'd probably crossed paths with him before if he was a regular, but the carryout in his hands explained why she didn't already know his name. She was a little surprised she didn't remember that grin, though, it was a damned good one. “Is that ankle okay? Sandals can be quite deadly.”When he offered her a hand, she set the box of strawberries aside and took his hand to haul herself to her feet. She dusted off the butt of her cutoff shorts and took a little self-inventory. Everything seemed to be in-tact, although she had a feeling her booty was going to be a little tender for a day or two. She hoped it wouldn't bruise, that would be such a dumb spot to have one. "All good, darlin', you just startled me is all," she answered cheerfully, crouching to start picking up some of the limes herself. It was sweet that he was actually helping her with the mess, and that earned him back a few more points. "I'm Noemie, by the way. Noemie Laurant. I don't think we've met."She glanced over where he was picking up a few of the strays, noting that he had a pretty nice body to go with the grin and the sense of humor. Maybe getting knocked on her ass wasn't so bad...

Blake noticed that southern twang almost immediately and had the inkling she was related to the restaurant owner. He knew the Laurant’s were from Louisiana, a family-owned business with their southern cooking, and that southern charm.
She had a nice laugh too he noted, and he moved easily, as he crouched to get the runaway limes. She introduced herself, and he glanced over at her. Throwing her another grin, as he sat one of her limes in the bag and then held his hand out to her. “Blake Carson,” He introduced himself. He’d shake her hand in that “doctor” handshake he was well-practiced in and then continue the search for the runaways. “I think we’ve managed to evade each other unknowingly until now.” He voiced. “You must have impeccable health if you haven’t been in to see me yet.” He pointed out, implying that he was one of the doctors at Haven. Which only made him grin more. “And I’d know if you’d came in or not.” Because Cal and he would be fighting over her chart. “You work here?” He asked, though he already had a feeling on the answer.
There were a few limes that had rolled a bit away, and he stood to go retrieve them, using his long legs to his advantage before he picked them up and came back.
