[From archived site] Andie kept her expression calm for the most part, which, if this had been real, was the last thing she’d have on her face. But for the moment Sol needed realize she was the one in control. She had power over this place, and big sister was determined to free her from this nightmare. As Conor approached David, Andie held tight to her sister’s hand. Narrowing her eyes at their tormentor as he laughed, telling Sol he owned her. “Not anymore you don’t!” Andie yelled, and she glanced at Sol. Flashing a reassuring smile at her. “You remember what Mom used to always say?” She asked her. “We’re stronger,...” She waited for Sol to finish the sentence, as Andie held tight to her sister and raised her hand towards David. “Together,” She murmured quietly before she “willed” her magic foreword. Intending for her and Sol to hit David with a blast of magic. If her idea worked then hopefully Sol would realize she was dreaming, and that Andie and Conor really were there. They were doing what Sol had been trying to do to her all these past weeks. She was ready. Ready to find her sister and finally be rid of their father forever. She wanted her family whole again, and the sooner they dealt with this, the sooner Andie could give her children the life they deserved. No more running. It was time to fight back.

Isolde watched in abject horror as Conor aimed multiple guns at her father and fired--and yet David continued to advance down the hall, laughing all the while. It wasn't until she actually saw the bat appear in his hands that it clicked.
"Wait, this--" she began, looking around. "This isn't right. Where's Marcus? He was helping us, and… and we got outside…" Time seemed to thicken like syrup as she moved to look past Andie and Conor, just in time to see Marcus reach the top of the stairs. Relief washed through her. They were all together, now. Marcus held a gun, too, but it was the bright glow of his tattoo that caught her attention. He was wearing a tank top, which was unusual. The tattoo… the venom in her arm…
She looked down at a bandage that hadn't been there before. That was right...she'd gotten bit, out in the woods. Marcus had healed her. Andie's voice tugged her out of the strange slow motion she'd been feeling,
“You remember what Mom used to always say?” She asked her. “We’re stronger...” She waited for Sol to finish the sentence as Andie held tight to her sister and raised her hand towards David.
“Together,” Sol said with her sister, raising her hand to match. A purple-tinged shockwave blew David back several feet into the wall at the corner of the hall. That...that had never happened before.
"I'm dreaming," Isolde said quietly. She forced herself to stand tall despite the way her knees and hands shook as she took a few steps toward the figure.
"You're not real," she told the dream of David where he lay slumped against the wall. "I blew you up. The whole house was on fire!" Desperation colored her voice, ruining its confidence.
The dream-David warped, his clothes turning singed, and his face burned.
"Sure you did. But do you really think that's enough to get rid of me?" he sneered up at her, "I serve the unending god, the primal darkness a--"
"SHUT. UP!" Isolde screeched, throwing her hands over her ears. With a dull pop, her father went silent. His face contorted in rage as he continued to shout and swear, but no sound left his lips.
Sol whirled back to look at her sister.
"Andie--Andie are you--?" her eyes flickered to Conor, "And you?"

His heart thundered with every step he took towards this dream vision of David. Of course, a part of him was still terrified, recalling that any injury against him would immediately reflect back on his wife. That if he were to die, she would be nothing but a mindless husk. That thought lingered like it always did, but the truth of the matter overpowered it, kept him moving; hearing Andie try to convince Sol further that this was all but a horrible nightmare.
Well, it didn't feel so much different than real life, now did it?
Just as he was bringing that bat up to swing, the sisters' magic rushed past him to knock David straight off his feet, eliciting a loud cheer from the fox. Tossing the bat away so nonchalantly as if things weren't loud and on fire, it simply dissipated before it hit the ground. Conor turned back to them, catching sight of Marcus but figuring it was just another figment of Isolde's imagination. Yet, the fact that he was even present in her mind left him uneasy.
He grumbled, rushing back over to them now while his damn father-in-law bitched about something, attempting to knock Sol down a peg. He was bloody good at that , but she surprised him. Even amid this dreamscape chaos, Conor grinned proudly at her. "We're real, love," he told her. "It would be great if you could make this craziness stop, so we could help you."

Glee spread across those ocher eyes as Dream Father went slamming back against that wall. Oh how she'd dreamed of doing that to him in the real world. She glanced at Sol as she seemed to realize she was in fact dreaming. None of this was real save for Andie and Conor, and she waited patiently as her sister seized control of her dream. Though what she had to say, Andie didn't miss.
What did she mean she blew the house up? Had she really? Was mother okay? A series of questions began to flicker into Andie's mind, but she stilled her tongue on asking them. They had to prove Sol wasn't under father's control, though Sol's behavior so far was telling Andie her sister was truly free. Now she just had to prove it to Conor.
As Conor came back to them, Andie drifted to his side like she always did. Her arm slightly brushing against his to prove she was there, and to tell herself he was alright. She smiled warmly at her sister. "I finally remembered. Do you remember what you told me last time?" She asked her.

Sol frowned. She'd told her sister a lot of things. But her hand trailed to her necklace, as it always did when she was worried, or thinking of her sister, and the familiar pendant in her fingers brought the memory back. "I told you we're together, but only in our dreams. That I won't hurt any more innocent people."
Things started to settle into better clarity, then, in her mind. And yet the landscape around them started to lose its realism instead. Colors faded, edges rounded, hinges appeared in the corner. They were standing in a dollhouse. Even the lighting shifted, becoming brighter and more friendly, seeming to wash the threat out of the house.
"Andie! Andie, we did it!" Sol exclaimed as she remembered. "Marcus helped Eddie and I get out, and I left those cursed explosives he was always having me make all over the house. I didn't put any in the bedrooms, where people would be sleeping, just the common areas and father's study. Well, and my room..." She grimaced, remembering how her entire bedroom wall had blown out. "With any luck, he should be the only one seriously hurt. Everyone else would have had to evacuate the building, there wouldn't be any time to grab the spell ingredients and books and things needed to chase me right away."
She didn't realize that dream-Marcus had come to stand behind her until his hand was on her shoulder, making her jump slightly. Tell them what your father sent after us. They might recognize it."
Sol nodded, absently bringing her good hand up to rub at her bandaged arm. Dark tendrils crept past the bandage up her veins, just like what she'd seen in reality earlier. "He had these terrible dogs... more like hell hounds than hunting dogs." She shivered. "The eyes were all wrong, and the teeth... And worst, they're venomous. One of them bit me." She nodded to her arm. "We're working on it, and we got out of the state like you asked... but I don't know where to go from here."

He was still so wary of all of this. Moving to his wife's side, a hand naturally fell to the small of her back as she conversed with her sister. And suddenly, everything around them began to change. For being a were-creature and married to a witch, sometimes this kind of shit was still strange. In this case, it was kind of trippy.
At first, Isolde's response sounded legit and he felt like maybe everything was okay, but it was what his sister-in-law said next about Marcus that brought that unease back tenfold. Those bright eyes settled on the dream vision of the man, and Conor ground his teeth.
Why would Marcus help? Why would someone seemingly so loyal to David and the coven suddenly forgo all of that? Of course he was going to struggle with believing any of this...especially because, out of the three of them, Conor knew what Marcus was capable of and what he had done.
The same things he had done and could not speak of.
He didn't voice any of this yet; his fingers just curled into the shirt at Andie's back before a look of surprise washed over his face. Did Sol just say she blew up the manor? Well, holy shit.
'Tell them what your father sent after us. They might recognize it.'
Clenching his jaw again, he ignored the vision and focused his attention on Isolde, specifically her arm. "Dogs?" he repeated, wondering when Thornton had gotten that type of creature before. He looked sidelong to Andie, a look of worry on his face. She was going to feel how much he didn't trust this, but he also knew that he had to trust her, and if she believed Isolde, then he would bite his tongue and pray it wasn't a mistake.

Andie nodded slowly at her sister as she recalled what she’d told her last. It wasn't exactly what she’d wanted to hear, but she supposed it was close. David was planning something, and Sol knew something about it. Lives were in danger. How many lives were the question. “And have you gotten out of Maine like I told you?” She asked. Keeping her voice steady and calm.
Sol’s excitement was evident enough as she rushed into her tale, and Andie noted the change in scenery. The dream was shifting to fit Sol’s mood, and she could feel Conor’s hand tightening slightly into the back of her shirt. She could feel his uneasiness about this, the lack of trust he felt, and Andie couldn’t blame him. This was David they were possibly dealing with.
Andie studied Marcus as he came out, and touched Sol. Storing that information away for later, she directed her attention back towards Sol’s arm. Her eyes looked on in alarm at the dark tendrils, and she looked up again to Isolde as she explained what had attacked her. Andie reached out to place her hand on the small of Conor’s back now, as her own unease made itself known. “I don’t know what type of dogs your talking about. Not at least off the top of my head.” Andie told her. It was another thing that bugged her, as Andie was rather knowledgeable about a lot of things given the fact she was a grimoire witch. But she couldn’t be of help in this space. She needed reality back, so she had access to her library.
The moment of truth was quickly upon them. Did they trust Isolde enough to bring her to Xander’s Cross or not? “Marcus is with you?” She asked carefully. Andie knew a lot could change in the few short years they’d been away, but she also knew her husband. Sol was one thing, Marcus? He was another. “Fruitland, Idaho. Don’t contact us, we’ll contact you. You have a week.” Andie told her sister quickly. It wasn’t Xander’s cross, but it was right over the border between Oregon and Idaho. Andie hoped it would make Conor feel better to meet with them first before they brought them to Xander’s Cross. This way they would still be safe if it did prove to be a trap. She glanced at Conor for final say.

Sol nodded. "Yes, he's still with us."
“Fruitland, Idaho. Don’t contact us, we’ll contact you. You have a week.”
Isolde nodded rapidly, mentally repeating the name. Fruitland, Fruitland, Fruitland. A land with fruits. Fruit from the land. She repeated it any way she could think of, desperate to make sure she would remember when she woke.
"I'll make sure we get there. We're only in New Hampshire...Or, we were, when I fell asleep. We could be farther, now." She followed Andie's gaze to Conor and gave him a pleading look. She could understand why they might be afraid, but surely it was clear that she was doing this of her own free will? She would never purposefully put them in danger. She couldn't help needing them. She was only one woman, facing off against a coven who had made a pact with a primordial force more powerful than anything she'd ever seen. Actually... One woman and one man. The realization that Marcus was on her side, that she wasn't facing this alone, steadied her failing nerves. She could do this.
"I'm sorry. I know that it's unfair of me to pull you back into this. I just... I didn't know where else to turn. There's no way I could do this, hide myself and Eddie, without help."

It felt wrong to believe that Isolde could be lying to them. In truth, he didn't think she was...but he also wasn't oblivious to the ways of manipulation, or interfering. David Thornton was a powerful presence, and how could they not know that he wasn't riding along on this strange dream ride somehow? Anything was possible- he himself was evidence of that, being a creature who should not have been bound to another in the way he had. Sol could be oblivious to any dark mingling, and he'd not fault her for it.
He couldn't. She was family and he planned to protect her with that same fierceness he protected Andie and the kids with. But the sight of Marcus Kanaan unsettled him. He understood the man wasn't really there and was simply there because his sister-in-law desired him to be, a mere image of him...and that, too, was unsettling.
Andie would physically feel him relax a little, hear him let out a slow breath before his attention remained solely on Isolde. He didn't like the look of those black tendrils under her skin. "Do not be sorry," he told her immediately. "You're family. Just keep movin' and we'll see each other soon, yeah?" He was trying to sound encouraging despite his lingering unease.

New Hampshire… Alright, that gave them some time. Andie was already making mental plans. Thinking about asking Maria to watch the kids so Conor and her could go meet up with Isolde.
Her face softened as Isolde apologize, and she shook her head. They didn’t need an apology. Isolde should know her big sister would do anything she could do to help her, they just had to be cautious. They’d been on the run for far longer then Isolde had, and they had methods to their madness.
“We’ll do what we can sister dear.” Andie smiled at her. “Fruitland. One week.” She repeated at her. “Now wake up. Prepare.” She told her. They all had to prepare now…
Andie gave Isolde a warm smile and then a wink, before not another word could be muttered. As if in a blink of an eye, Conor and Andie were back in her secret office. A small gasp escaped her, as she felt slightly labored from the energy it took to go into Isolde’s dream in the first place, and she sighed, before she settled her eyes on Conor across the table. Her hands tightening slightly in his.
“One week, do you think you can prepare for Marcus? He’ll be with her.” She said quietly. Getting to the current problem they’d be facing.
David’s attack dog had ran off with one of the princesses. Were his intentions true? Or was he working with David and planning a trap…
It wasn’t Isolde they’d have to worry about...
