-Basics-
Face Claim: Adam Driver
Name: Simon Reese Bradbury
Age: 32
Gender: M
Species: Witch
Height: 6'3
Fashion: While Simon wouldn't label himself as 'hipster' that's definitely how he comes off; at work, he typically wears black or navy blue slacks and a variety of light-colored button-ups. Outside work it's typically geeky literature t-shirts and a zipper hoodie or chunky-knit sweater. He is never seen without his thin-frame glasses. He also has a variety of antique rings he wears, which often appear to be a fashion statement, although in reality they're each charmed with different enhancements for focus or energy.
Physical Description: Simon definitely gives off a literature geek energy, but up close he's a big guy and can be a bit intimidating. (The fact that his default expression always looks mildly upset doesn't help.) His dark hair is kept long and perpetually falling into his face, which means he's perpetually flipping or pushing it out of his eyes. When he smiles, he almost seems a different person, and if he's talking about literature his whole posture will change with his enthusiasm.
-Personality-
Description: Simon is a quiet and serious soul. He loves literature and history, particularly the history of his own witch bloodline throughout the years. He gets most excited when talking about literature, particularly Shakespeare, the Crucible, and The Scarlet Letter. He can recite several Shakesperean sonnets, and quote several of the plays. His favorite is the Scottish play.
Habits/Hobbies: reading, collecting old grimoires, D&D
“We men of study, whose heads are in our books, have need to be straightly looked after!
We dream in our waking moments, and walk in our sleep.”
― Nathaniel Hawthorne, The Scarlet Letter

-Background-
History:
Simon comes from a long line of witches originating in Salem. He's been working on a complex family tree tracing the witch families that have mingled with theirs over the years, as well as the way magic has spread throughout North America. He believes that the Native Americans likely had witch families of their own, although he has not been able to prove this as of yet thanks to the genocide of those peoples. He finds this quite discouraging, but that fact is what drew him to Xander's Cross in the first place when his extended family all lives in Maine.
He taught out there for a couple of years, waiting all the while for a position to open up in Xander's Cross. Witches may be supernatural, but that doesn't mean they don't use the internet, after all, and communities do exist to share information. He learned quickly that the place was a haven for all kinds of things, as well as a hub of strange activity, and he wanted to study it in person.
He's been teaching in Xander's Cross for 5 years now, and he loves the place and his students.

- His sister joined the Coven of the Thorn; he finds their ideology concerning, but hasn't realized their dangerous nature.
