Basics:
Face Claim: Jordan Conner
Name: Chogan Aikopy
Age: 17
Gender: M
Species: Shifter (Raven)
Height: 6’3
Fashion: Hoodlum. Chogan does not come from money, so a lot of his clothes are from the army surplus store, or Goodwill. He tends to wear worn jeans, t-shirts, flannels with the sleeves cut off, and either a well worn leather jacket or jean jacket. He wears black riding boots or a pair of well worn romeos most days.
Physical Description:
Chogan is a very tall young man with broad, well toned shoulders. He’s a bit on the thinner side, but he’s surprisingly fit, and stays in decent shape. (Probably due to all the fighting he does.) He has straight black hair and dark eyes. He has native american features with a flatter, wide face and high cheekbones. A permanent scowl, or furrowed brow is usually always on Chogans face, if not a black eye or the occasional split lip.
-Personality-
Description:
Angry. That’s the best word to describe Chogan, with trouble coming in at a close second. He’s a giant prick and will pick a fight with someone if they so much as look at him funny. He’s nothing but 6’3 inches of pure anger and rage, and there isn’t a day that goes by where he doesn’t want to hit someone or something. The only he’s reasonably nice to be his best friend denali , his dad, and maybe his sister. Chogan is your typical delinquent, who is just looking for trouble. He does petty crimes mostly, usually getting caught for graffiti, or something else stupid like starting fights. He doesn’t have friends and would rather keep it that way, though there is that hidden desire to actually be wanted. To be needed even if he will never admit it.
Chogan has severe abandonment issues, and he doesn’t want to talk about his problems. He’s angry and for good reason. He’s a large activist for his tribe and is angry about the new mining group coming in. He doesn't want them there and just wants everything to go back to the good old days. Chogan is the type of person to do the exact opposite of what you tell him to do. If you say don’t go out after dark, he’s going to, just to push your buttons. He’s a rebel who is constantly in trouble and constantly pushing his uncle’s buttons and his boundaries.
Under all that anger and rage, is actually a very kind, surprisingly gentle boy. He just...has problems showing it. Chogan takes his role as a friend very seriously and will be there for you at the drop of a hat. You just have to say the word and he’s there, no questions asked. He actually has a nice smile if you can get him to do it. He really likes to draw in his free time, or do Graffiti art, even if the rest of the town (Namely his uncle) doesn’t like him decorating buildings with it. He loves his dad and sister, and actually really respects them, but has a hard time showing it.
Habits/Hobbies: Working on his bike, drawing, spray painting, getting into fights. Uses his knife to clean out from under his nails. Likes to shift so he just flies away for an afternoon and gets away from everyone. Sneaking out after dark. Doing the exact opposite of what he’s told.
History:
Chogan had a relatively normal upbringing. His family didn’t have much, but they sure as heck loved one another, and were proud of who they were and their Isaneqwe roots. Family meant something to the Aikopy’s, and he used to chase after his uncle Adahy’s and insist on rides in his squad car. If you were to ask little Chogan who his favorite role models were, he would say his uncle and his dad. But they had nothing on his mother. A mama’s boy through and through, Chogan would have done anything the woman asked.
Which is probably why he took it so hard when she left two years ago. His father had to work odd jobs as a truck driver, so he was constantly gone. Chogan also began to notice how there had started to be tension between his parents, and one day he came home from school to find his mom having an affair with a man who had been passing through. He was confused of course, and his mother told him she was leaving, and that she would eventually come back for him. She left the next day, and when Chogan’s dad came home, he was distraught. Sitting both his kids down and breaking it to them that their mother was leaving them for someone else. Someone better, who had more money.
Chogan was in denial, refusing to accept it. He didn’t cope like he probably should have, instead, he just let the anger slowly build up into a giant ball of hate. His dad had to quit his job as a trucker and find work closer in town. He works at the mines now and is always working. Chogan’s sister Shamira had moved out a while ago, and left him by himself, allowing for his anger to continue to build. Then the acting out started. Once he was in high school, he started picking fights, getting into trouble, causing his uncle to get more grey hairs down at the police station, anything he could think of. He turned into a right ole delinquent. He keeps in contact with his mom still, though her phone calls are usually from payphones and it’s when Chogan calls her. He’s still hopeful that she’s going to come to get him one of these days. So much so, he went on his own little spiritual journey. Following in the path of his ancestors, his desperation for his mother to come back led him to have a dream one night that gave him the power to spread his wings and literally fly, as he found his totem animal to be a raven. Chogan has only been able to become one with his spirit animal a handful of times through extreme focus. Using his anger to channel the change. He tends to only shift when he really needs to get away for a while, and escape reality. The only reason for his acting out is so she’ll come back home. Come back to her family, so they can be happy again. He doesn’t want to accept that she’s never coming back…
