He’s fine. Everything is fine, there is a perfectly good explanation for this. He didn’t go off on another bender, he didn’t go off on another bender… Was the mantra Blake told himself as he made the drive to the precinct to pick up Cal. Whether he admited it or not, Blake reeked of anxiety, trying to keep himself from jumping to the worst conclusion. Cal was his brother though, he had a right to be worried about him, and would worry. He thought he'd been doing so well since they'd moved to Xander's Cross... That Cal was getting better after the loss of Bre. Had Blake missed something? Had he missed some signal, or cue that Cal was slipping? He slowly put puttered Jessie into the parking lot, just as he saw two women were leaving. A blonde head dressed in leather got his attention as he braked hard into a parking spot, and he saw that it was Paige Anderson.
“Oh no…” Blake voiced allowed to no one in particular. That couldn’t be good now, could it? Had she been arrested too? It would explain why Cal had called Blake and not his new blonde bombshell girlfriend… Still, Blake was curious as to what had happened and scrambled out of Jessie. Closing the ever-faithful green pick-up that he’d had since his early college years.
He was dressed in a simple t-shirt, jeans, and his vans that he’d thrown on in his rush out of the house. The only thing that indicated what he’d been doing was the white flower streak on his cheekbone from the cookies he’d been in the process of baking. Pocketing his keys, he jogged to the door, opening it as he approached the desk and waved at the officer behind the desk. “Uh Hi, I’m here to pick up Cal Hunt? I believe you’re holding him in timeout.” he grinned at the woman and she smiled back at him. “Yeah yeah, we got him. Can you sign this, and I’ll go let Sarg know you’re here.” She told him. Blake nodded, thanking her as he took the clipboard and started filling it out that they were releasing Cal into his custody.
He didn’t know to be amused or irritated that he felt like a parent signing their child out of school…
When he was done he put the clipboard on her desk and he crossed his arms over his chest, putting on his best “You have so much explaining to do…” Look as he faced towards the back area. Seeing movement through the area before the door opened, and he started tapping his foot for added effect.
